strong ethical leadership is important in every organization big or small because it will determine how employees will react when put in different circumstances where they will have a choice between ethical and unethical behavior. With the boss/president/CEO of a company behaves ethically himself it sets a standard for all who work for him that unethical behavior will not be tolerated. Unethical behavior can be stealing from the company you work for, even small ‘meaningless’ items like post-it notes or pencils, falsifying your punch-in/out, looking out for your own best interests instead of that of the company, etc. I don’t know if that helped I wasn’t sure what your exact question was.. In this inspirational second discussion, Lt. General Van Riper articulates three leadership styles and argues that the best leaders are strong, confident leaders who listen to advice of others. The best leaders never stop learning and cast their net widely. He believes that clear intent is important for an organization to understand so that it can be in command and out of control. He advocates that individuals who keep their character fit; “physically, mentally, morally, and spiritually will be enabled to perform in any organization or business.”
