We created A Broader View on the belief that one person can make a difference in the lives of others. We believe that our programs make a positive impact on the volunteers who travel with us, as well as the local community. We have found that cultural immersion leads to a personal satisfaction that one does not get as a tourist.

Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre (TCCC)
http://www.tcccgc.org/
TCCC Inception & Background
In the spring of 2004, His Holiness bestowed the Kalachakra teaching for World Peace in Toronto to over 7,000 pilgrims Image from all walks of life. It was during this auspicious occasion that His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama gave his blessings to the organization and granted the Tibetan name Gangjong Choedenling to the proposed community centre.
In the late and early 1970s, approximately 500 Tibetans sought refuge in Canada, making them the smallest immigrant group in the country. Approximately 350 Tibetans settled in Ontario and ensured the survival and growth of Tibetan identity and culture in a multi-cultural Canada. Later, in 1998 a small number of Tibetan Refugees fron India and Nepal found Canada as their home. The influx of Tibetans in Ontario has been growing over the years and there are approximately over 4000 Tibteans currently living in Ontario. To this day, the Tibetans here have been dedicated to preserving and promoting the values of the unique Tibetan cultural heritage in Ontario.
The Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre was acquired and established on October 17,2008 (the auspicious day when His Holiness the Dalai Lama received the US Congressional Gold Medal – the highest civilian award). It is located on 40 Titan Road at the corner of Titan Road and Islington in the city of Etobicoke. Currently the centre offers a variety of programs and services which is open to everyone.
TCCC Mission
As a community based, not for profit organization, the mission of TCCC is to preserve and foster the growth of Tibetan culture within the Tibetan community in Ontario. We are a multi-faceted organization providing programs, events, services, resources and facilities to promote an understanding and appreciation of Tibets rich culture and traditions to Canadians from all heritages.
In todays increasingly diverse and multicultural Canadian society, the goal of TCCC is to promote cross-cultural understanding and friendship between the Tibetan community and other cultural groups in Canada through education and awareness projects. As a learning centre and a place to share common interests, TCCC will not only help Tibetan immigrants adjust to the culture, heritage, and lifestyle in Canada, but it will also promote and foster Tibetan culture and art within the Tibetan community and with other cultural groups. This inspirational place of learning will provide visitors with on-going opportunities to learn and practice the Tibetan values of altruism, love, compassion and non-violence; thus promoting harmony and friendship in our diverse society.

I know which forms I need to do this on my own, but I like the ease that comes with e-filing. Any suggestions for someone who needs to file for foreign earned income?
www.irs.gov, individual, free file. It will take you to sites which you mayn’t be eligible for free file, but you can enclose your needs and the irs website will refer you to a site for your needs.
Check with NATP – They can give you a referral.
good luck
I am a therapist providing individual services. I provided these services to an organization last year and am just now invoicing them for the past year. The dates that I provided the service were lost to me and I had to recreate them using a paper trail. They sent me a letter saying that if I don’t invoice them within a certain time period they could not pay me. How do I collect for the services I provided?
I say skip the lawyer and send them a letter giving them a day to pay or you will file in small claims court for the amount they owe and court cost. Should they respond with anything but a check, reply with a letter reminding them of the deadline and that’s all. Do not engage in negations with them. If that time passes and you have no check, FILE! A lawyer will likely take more than they owe you and they probably know that. Having said that, turn that little fact around on them.
Check your state. In the state I live in a corporation MUST be represented by counsel in any court hearing. I think this is the case for most states. A corporation is not a person. In court, you can act as your own lawyer. A corporation can’t. Odds are good that they will pay you (and the and court costs) rather than pay a Lawyer.
Good Luck!
http://www.abroaderview.org/cameroon.php Volunteer Cameroon Abroad Buea Orphanage HIV Programs
Cameroon is a safe Central African Republic bordered to the west by the Gulf of Guinea. One of the most diverse countries in Africa, Cameroon is often referred to as “Africa in miniature?. Cameroon has everything you would expect from the African continent; tropical rainforests, deserted golden beaches, great expanses of desert, vast lakes and savannah, and volcanic mountains in-between. Compared with other African countries, Cameroon enjoys political and social stability. Nevertheless, large numbers of Cameroonians live in poverty as subsistence farmers. The unemployment rate is high and those who are employed perform mostly agricultural tasks. The HIV/AID crises have hit hard especially the children, many of whom lack proper healthcare. Cameroon has one of the highest school attendance rates in Africa. Although attendance rates are high, there is a shortage of teacher leaving schools chronically understaffed. Cameroon is having two seasons that is the rainy and dry season; the rainy season runs from March to September while the dry season runs from October to February. The major spoken languages are still English and French but a multitude of more than 200 ethnic languages are also in circulation, with various tribes populating the country. Our programs are located in Buea and the surrounding rural towns where English is predominately spoken. The nearest airport from our head office is Douala International, about an hour drive from Buea. All participants should book their flights to Douala Airport. The volunteer program goal is to give international support to local organizations helping needy children and young people throughout south west Cameroon.

Go to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) Department at Quezon City Hall and ask for their list of accredited institutions for street and abandoned children. There are various institutions there but only those in their accreditation list will be legitimate.
Want a name that is not religious but is carrying the message about our organisation that is intending to educate poor kids. In future we may also extend to other social services.
