In January, Miss Indiana Katie Stam was crowned Miss America 2009. She competed against 51 other contestants to win the 88-year-old pageant.
Last year, the Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance. Along with the title of Miss America 2009, Katie won a $50,000 scholarship to continue her education.
Prior to becoming Miss America, Katie was a student at the University of Indianapolis. Her goal is to pursue a degree in communication and ultimately become a television news anchor. She says the experience that she has gained while serving as Miss America will be invaluable.
Over the next year, Katie will travel approximately 20,000 miles each month (changing her location every 18 36 hours) and speak to audiences about her Platform of Service; Promoting Community Service and Involvement and acting as the official National Goodwill Ambassador for Childrens Miracle Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for childrens hospitals. Working with this organization has taught me to be more positive, says Katie.
In a new twist, viewers of a lead-in reality show, Miss America: Countdown to the Crown voted in four of the 15 finalists, while the judges announced the other 11 during a live television broadcast. Katie was one of the four finalists chosen by the viewers.
Katie says she is ecstatic about the new direction for the Miss America pageant. The pageant needed to be modernized to make it more contemporary. She says the new format is more relatable for people.
Katie grew up in Seymour Indiana and began competing in pageants at the age of 15. She says her ultimate dream was to win the title of Miss America. To ensure that it was her decision to pursue this goal, Katies parents made her take an active role in completing applications for each pageant.
Born and raised Lutheran, Katie recalls, Going to church was a habit. it is what you are suppose to do. It wasnt until college that she got excited about being a Christian. When a friend invited Katie to a church that offered a more contemporary format, Katie was reluctant at first. After a few more visits, Katie joined the church.
Since becoming Miss America, Katie shares that she has grown in many areas of her life. She says the biggest area of her life that has experienced the most growth is spiritual. She gives so much credit to her faith for winning the title of Miss America.

How many political organizations(secretive political organizations) exert control over the U.S. Government?
I’ve read that there are 12 levels of government that have almost total control over the operations of our government. The CIA, CFR, Tri-lateral comission, and Military-Industrial complex are just a few of these organizations.
What do you think?
America is controlled not by politicians but by corporations, bankers and Israel. This is it in a nutshell and the same for every government in the western civilisation. People’s apathy in voting tied in with disinterest of politics has meant that politicians are no longer politicians per se, but mere puppets of the aforementioned industry. This has all been carefully planned in instituted over a period of time. People’s disinterest in politics is not by chance, as our political elite has purposefully created a situation where no one cares anymore what they do, giving them even more power and less resistance to do whatever they so desire.
It’s ironic to think that people don’t care abut politics when politics controls everything and plays a massive part in everyone’s life.
I will agree with you that the names you’ve mentioned do play a part in the controlling of the USA, but it’s the Bankers and Corporations who own the USA, of course with the Zionists, incredibly powerful people, a small minority with a massive disproportionate amount of wealth and power compared to their size.

Super Cr3w will be in rare form this week on “ABDC,” as they plan to introduce their 7th member to the world: an eight year old!
The Season 2 champions met miniature bboy Jalen Testerman years ago. They formed an instant friendship, and he’s been an honorary member of Super Cr3w ever since.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with this kid, we know your jaw will drop Thursday night when you see his tricks. In fact, when we caught up with Jalen backstage to find out what his favorite bboy move was, he replied, “the headspin.” ‘Nuff said?

As the “ABDC” Champions Charity episode approaches, we thought you’d like to know who the all-star crews have been working with to help give back their respective communities:
Poreotix has been working with an organization called Everybody Dance Now! EDN! provides a healthy outlet away from the peer pressure of violence, drugs, alcohol and body image in the form of dance.
We Are Heroes have been working with the Spartant Sparkles, who are the nations first cheerleading squad for students with special needs. The kids have disabilities ranging from Down Syndrome to autism and cheer alongside other cheerleaders at school pep rallies, as well as home football and basketball games.
Quest Crew has been working alongside an inspirational youth who created a movie called “Say It Loud,” which promotes the importance of education and having a Plan B when dreams of becoming a professional athlete, rapper or superstar fall short of the goal.
Super Cr3w has been working alongside an HIV positive girl named Marvelyn who has spoken about HIV to half a million people around the world — 200,000 of which went out and got tested for the disease after hearing her.
And finally, JabbaWockeeZ has been working with a cancer survivor who, after having his left leg amputated, went on to become a successful Paralympic skier and create a social networking site for amputees to ask questions, get answers and develop an active community.
