And the org does not give the MONEY to the kids.
They use the money to provide SERVICES FOR THE KIDS.

When and why was it created in the first place? Was it related to the changes in transnational flows of production and investment? Does this transnational regulation affect democracy somehow? What did the WTO do towards politics in general?

The World Trade Organization exists to make it easier for countries to make trade agreements with each other. It’s entirely on a voluntary basis: countries are not obligated to do things they don’t agree to do. The World Trade Organization simply provides a forum to make treaties, and to a certain extent it provides pressure to live up to agreements.

The "problem" many people have with the WTO is that the trade deals tend to work in favor of richer countries and are exploitive of poorer countries. This is because of the WTO’s nature: a member of the WTO has no reason to do something in a treaty if they do not get something in return, and because poorer countries are reliant on richer countries the rich countries have more leverage to get their way. The WTO is good at what it set out to do; third world development simply isn’t one of its goals.

A better example of an organization that’s good for development is the World Bank, for which development is a core aim. Countries contribute to the World Bank, with the richer countries contributing more, and the World Bank provides loans and aid to countries that want to enact good policies but don’t have the money for it. It also funds disease eradication projects and the like that benefit people in non-economic ways.
