Was it Jesus who told them this of was it Father God Jehovah? What kind of proof they have for it?
How did the organisation receive this revelation that this organisation is the only true channel of communication between God and people??
Jehovah’s Witnesses really believe this, this is a serious question.
I used to think that Jehovah’s Witnesses claimed they became Jehovah’s sole channel of communication from 1919, based on this quote from the 1 April 1919 Watchtower: "Is not the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society the one and only channel which the Lord has used in dispensing his truth continually since the beginning of the harvest period?"
Also, from their book ‘Revelation – Its Great Climax Is At Hand!’: "1919 TIME OF INSPECTION BY THE SLAVE’S MASTER… Without a question of doubt, it was a real time for inspection of the Master’s ’slave’ class. All the facts of the case argue that the Master came for the work of inspection at that time. Such a thing was to be expected according to the prophecy of Malachi 3:1-5. Of course, the sectarian churches of Christendom had made a wartime record for themselves, an open record that had a heavy bearing on their claim to be disciples and slaves of Jesus Christ. Could they, by even their latest record down till 1919, prove that they themselves were the composite ‘faithful and discrete slave’ class of the heavenly Lord and Master, Jesus Christ? He as Judge would indicate what his findings were by the way he thereafter dealt with the hundreds of religious sects of Christendom."
But then I found this quote from their 1921 book ‘Studies In The Scriptures’ Volume 7 (page 236): "The same year, 1881, is prophetically marked as the time for the final withdrawal of favor from the churches, a favor which had begun to be withdrawn in 1878 – the year in which the clergy were cast off as representatives of the Divine Word, and when Pastor Russell began his work by the publication of 50,000 copies of ‘Object and Manner of the Lord’s Return’. In 1878 the stewardship of the things of God, the teaching of Bible truths, was taken from the clergy, unfaithful to their age long stewardship, and given to Pastor Russell. In the interim, until 1881, the new steward was setting the things in order, getting the truths of the Bible in logical and Scriptural form for presentation, until the last great item of the Hebrew tabernacle types, was ready. Then, in 1881, he became God’s watchman for all Christendom, and began his gigantic work of Witness." J.F. Rutherford was the author of this book, whose work was supervised by Messrs Woodworth and Fisher.
It was either in 1881 when Pastor Russell claimed he became God’s watchman for all Christendom, or it was in 1919 when the Master inspected all the churches of Christendom, found them wanting and appointed the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society as his one and only channel to dispense his truth.
I’m afraid I don’t know how they were given this information – I wasn’t around at the time – but I get the impression that Russell and Rutherford’s claims that it happened in 1881 were superceded with ‘new light’. The official line is that although the founders got it wrong, it doesn’t matter because their motives were pure and unselfish. Current thinking is ‘the Lord’ chose them in 1919, but I don’t know if, in 1919, they considered Jehovah to be the Lord or if that would be Christ Jesus.

We didnt recieve this information from anyone, but we have done a lot of research in the Bible and of other religions. And the Bible says what kind of people his true Christians are. Here is an article will help answer your question. It’s called "Who Should Determine True Religon?"

The same way that any religion was told the same thing. Any sect of Christianity says the same thing, what makes the JW’s any different? why single them out?

God has akways had a pure religion. In ancient times i was the Jews, you can tell the only true religion by t he fruit it bears. Do you see JW gpong tp war and killing: would you imagine Jesus killing in war. The true religion is identified also by thier peaching work which is intensified as we near the end og this system of things. JW’s dont bow down to idols, which is forbidden in the bible, we hold no man grater than another which is idol worship. We base all of our belifs on the bible, and t hey entire bible is inspired by god.we believe yhat Jesus is not part of a trinity ,but as the bible says is son of god. We believe that we are now living since 1914 in the last day of this system of thingsWe show christian for thier neighbors but do not share in the polotics or warsof any nationWe believe that it is inportant to apply the council of gods word everyday. at home,in school,in buusinessand thier congergation.we abhoe adultry, forinacation, homosexuality drug abuse drunkedness lying stealing or stealing.According to the Bible, the line of witness’reaches back yo faithful Abel Read Heb 11:4–12:1Noah wA also a faithful witness The bibble does not agree with the modern view that thier are many acceptable ways to worship god. Ephesians 4:5 says there is "one lord, one faith,Jesus stated "narrow is the gate, cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones are the ones finding it….Not everypne saying to me "lord ,lord will enter into the kingdom of the heavens but the one doinf the will of my father who is in the heavens wil Matt713,14 1 cor 1:10Christianity teaching are the truth and christianity refer to the body of Christianity as:the way to the truth"

I don’t know who told them that but it’s simply not true. Jesus doesn’t cherry pick who will be saved just out of your religion. All Jesus requires to be saved is to accept him as Lord and Savior and to repent and reject sinful nature. That’s ALL. If you needed to be JW, then I would think something so important as that would be in the scriptures

They were told by Judge Rutherford, Charles Russell died in 1916 and shortly after Judge Rutherford, in a hostile takeover, became the president of the Watchtower. It was in 1919 that the Judge made this claim ans wasn’t long afterword he started recording his sales pitch on records and had the members going around playing the records and selling their religious material (Watchtower Magazine) from door to door. They believe it true because this thug told it was. Look up his history and see if he took advantage of a bunch of good people to sell magazines and books. He lived the life of the rich and famous, living on the backs of his members. Two cadilacs and a mansion amd winter in Europe.
