There are two international unions I know of, right off the bat. the international Brotherhood of Carpenters and Jointers. there’s also the international brotherhood of Cabinetmakers. You can find a local chapter on the web.
In some communities, there are guilds for cabintery, wood carving, and finish carpentry and jointery, as well as marquetry, fret work, all kinds of specialty wood work, including lathe and turning.
You can find these in the yellow pages, on the internet, or in professional listings with your city or town.
