SHARK investigators expose the cruelty and outright lies of the Clem McSpadden 2009 Steer Busting Finals, sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).
Steer busting is the most dangerous event in rodeo. The PRCA is the only major rodeo association to sanction this obvious animal abuse. When an organization has no problem sanctioning such abuse, you may expect it will have no problem lying about it either.
Rodeo announcer Charlie Throckmorton falsely claims that the rodeo works “in complete harmony” with the American Humane Association (AHA), a flat out lie. The AHA released a subsequent statement completely and absolutely refuting Throckmorton’s nonsensical claim.
Requests to PRCA Commissioner Karl Stressman for a public retraction and apology have gone unanswered, demonstrating once again the condition of ethics and bravery of the rodeo industry — nonexistent.

Also wanted to ad, …
Also wanted to ad, not all rodeo events are cruel.
I see nothing wrong with:
bull riding
break away roping
steer wrestling
barrel racing
bronc riding.
But when animals die for no reason other than entertainment, we need to reevaluate what is acceptable.

I run barrel horses …
I run barrel horses so I’m no stranger to rodeo event.
Like several have mentioned, rodeo is a competition of traditions from the past. Cows were roped and drug over to the fire for branding or butcher.
These animals are being roped, drug, flipped, maimed, and killed for absolutely no good reason other than tradition? Or your entertainment? Sickening|!

I’ve always …
I’ve always wondered what makes those minds tick that pay to see this. Also a second job for brutal cops, sad.

leita1200: Because …
leita1200: Because the animal was hurt. Good for you. You finally get it.
You should also get lessons in civility, Maybe granny can help you there since she’s almost never busy while rodeo consistently drags out hurt animals.
February 5th, 2010 at 2:40 pm
That was because …
That was because the animal was hurt and they wanted to go take are of the animal instead of letting it suffer and btw my grandma is a vet and she comes to alot of well known rodeos and she is hardly ever busy at the rodeos! So I highly doubt you people will end rodeo! Us “rodeo” people won’t let you god wothless peices of stop rodeo

leita1200: Sorry to …
leita1200: Sorry to burst your delusional bubble. We’re the ones who actually film these abuses.
btw: very noticeable that you deleted your earlier comment like a cowering coward sitting behind the computer and haven’t bothered to answer the question as to why animals were dragged out of the arena and why the announcer lied.
February 5th, 2010 at 2:40 pm
Again just like I …
Again just like I said before all you guys do is sit on your and comment on the videos for attition!

leita1200: So, …
leita1200: So, filthy-mouthed rodeo supporter, please explain to everyone you cursed at why the animals were dragged out of the arena, and why the announcer lied about working in harmony with the AHA.
February 5th, 2010 at 2:40 pm
interesting to know …
interesting to know why the announcer felt the need to say that to the crowd, nevermind lie about it, as the animals were being dragged out. guilty consciences maybe?

Comment des cancres …
Comment des cancres abrutis gagnent des millions en torturant de pauvres animaux sans défense, et en abusant d’un public bien bête et bien crédule !
February 5th, 2010 at 2:40 pm
People who can’t …
People who can’t see that this IS animal cruelty need to re-evaluate themselves and their morals.

I now so much about rodeos, my dad does them, but I still hate them. My mom owns a ranch in Wyoming, too.
