i was presented with a job opportunity and i am trying to organize my resume. and i needed a little extra help. so feel free

The importance of a resume is to highlight your skills and past experience. Everything else is fluff and is largely ignored.

Sometimes, when you’re just starting out in the work place, it’s hard to build an interesting resume, but that’s OK, I don’t expect someone straight out of school to have much experience.

What I want to know is specifically what skills will you bring to the job you’re applying for.

    General resume structure:

    Name
    Address
    Phone
    E-mail

    Position Applying For:

    Education:

    Work Experience (Present to oldest)

Other Relevant Information (certificates, projects, etc.)

    References available on request

Leave off the hobbies, interests, etc (unless specifically relevant to what you are applying for). You can talk about those at the interview if asked.

Remember, they will have you fill out an application. That’s a legal document, a resume is not.
