I entered this video into the USAService.org contest. Its not just telling the world what Im going to do on MLK day, its more. Its my quest I began on 11.4, my service to this world to re-ignite the passion of civic involvement so it doesn’t fade away post the inaugural. Our involvement is key to our world solving its problems. This video is my service and I will continue my entire life to try to inspire us all to be involved. I know now, that is why I was put on this Earth.

YOU can help re-ignite our world’s passion for change that was at an all time high just prior to the election simply by watching this video and forwarding it. Our world needs your passion now, more then ever. FORWARD this video to everyone you know and ask them to do the same.

BEHIND THE SCENES WHY AND HOW THIS VIDEO WAS CREATED: Anyone who joined the Obama administration, I would assume, thought long and hard before making that commitment, understanding the personal sacrifices they would have to make. But they did join, because I would imagine they felt compelled, as I do, to do something for our world, and they knew this was their time.

I also know this is my time. Im 53 (CEO of a production company) and I have no time to waste. So what I did was create an organization I believe anyone wanting to effect change in this world will be interested in, and most importantly, an organization which can help our new President keep the momentum of involvement as strong now as it was before the election (a very difficult task).

The organization is called The Yes We Can (Change our Destiny) Project

What makes me who I am: My father survived the holocaust in Europe, I grew up with very little and was raised by my grandmother, I survived cancer as a young man, my wife and I lost 7 babies as we tried post my cancer to have children and my wife may now be ill herself. So I know something of hardship, but I also know that out of hardship, such as our world faces now, comes resolve. I mention the above publicly only so that all who read this understand the resolve which is within me.

When on Nov. 4th at Grant Park, President Elect Obama said we have an opportunity to put our hands on the “arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope for a better day, I resolved to grab that opportunity. I resolved to proactively do more then just help get our President elected.

Realizing that I can personally help bend the arc of history meaning that I can literally change our destiny, was a tipping point for me.

So I resolved to create the Yes We Can (Change our Destiny) Project

This organization and its first video can inspire millions to continue to stay involved.

Ive tested our first project and it works as expected, thousands of hits in the first few days. This puts the power to re-engage millions at our collective fingertips. But I cant do it alone, I need everyone who reads this post to forward the YouTube link for this project to everyone they know, so as to help re-ignite the fervor and commitment to change that existed prior to the election.

Will.i.am inspired us by his video to get Barack Obama elected. Now lets finish the job and keep everyone inspired.

To be clear: I wish nothing; no fame, no fortune, not even any credit. I just want to know I did something to help and to inspire. Because I know that inspiration is one of the most powerful forces in the world and I know the President elect is brilliant at creating and harnessing it.

The high def video was carefully produced. I created, produced and funded it entirely myself, which, from a practical standpoint, I know I should not have. But I did so to create a high quality effective video, as that is what is needed to re-ignite our collective passion. 40 of Chicagos and the nations top artists, engineers, directors of photography, musicians and philosophical confidents of mine were behind this video.

It was recorded at the Chicago Recording Company, interestingly, though accidentally, on December 7th, Pearl Harbor day (that day that lived in infamy engaging Americans so many years ago at a different time of strife in our nations history).

I would like to ask you to please pass on the link above to everyone you know, so as to help ensure that our world stays inspired.

I fully expect the President elect to have as one of his key messages during the inaugural, that we must all ask not what our country can do for you I will be there to watch Mr. Obama give that message to us all. I hope this video can be of some help to him in his quest to keep us all involved in bending the arc of history.

Beautiful commercial stars Dusan, www.TheBrownBoys.ws – YOU can help change our future

Dusan Brown, http://www.TheBrownBoys.ws had the pleasure of doing voiceover and starring in this commercial for http://www.OunceofPrevention.org. This was his first voiceover booking and according to the project producers, he nailed it! Hats off, Dusan! They were so impressed with him that we were invited to the luncheon in which this commercial was revealed… there were over 600 attendees, and Dusan was to excited to finally see the finished project before such a huge audience! It actually brought tears to my eyes. *mushy Mom* LOL Dusan was introduced to many of the Board Members and even met the organization’s Founder! Overall he had a great experience and looks forward to working with this organization again.

As soon as I get pictures from the event’s photographer, I’ll post them to Dante & Dusan’s MySpace & FaceBook, so be sure and check them out there, if you haven’t already.

Magodonga Mahlangu and the organization that she helps lead — WOZA, which stands for Women of Zimbabwe Arise, and is represented tonight by one of its founders, Jenni Williams.
As a young girl raised in Matabeleland — in the Matabeleland region of Zimbabwe in the early 1980s, Magodonga witnessed the — I’ve got to make sure I get this right — Gukurahundi massacres — the systematic murder of many thousands of people, including her uncle and several cousins — many of whom were buried in mass graves that they’d been forced to dig themselves.
She witnessed the fearful silence that followed, as talking about these events was forbidden. Magodonga found this to be intolerable. She wanted to speak out — she wanted people to know the truth about what was happening in her country.
So it was a revelation when, years later, she discovered a group called WOZA whose mission is the very opposite of silence. WOZA was started back in 2003 to empower women to speak out about the issues affecting their families and their country — desperate hunger; crumbling health and education systems; domestic violence and rape; and government repression ranging from restrictions on free expression to abduction and murder of dissidents.
WOZA’s guiding principle is “tough love” — the idea that political leaders in Zimbabwe could use a little discipline. And who better to provide that than the nation’s mothers? Since its founding, the organization has grown from a handful of activists to a movement of 75,000 strong. There’s even a men’s branch, I understand — MOZA. And over the past seven years, they have conducted more than a hundred protests — maids and hairdressers, vegetable sellers and seamstresses, taking to the streets; singing and dancing; banging on pots empty of food and brandishing brooms to express their wish to sweep the government clean.

A Phase 5 alert is a strong signal that a pandemic is imminent and that the time to finalize the organization, communication, and implementation of the planned mitigation measures is short.

The United States Government has declared a public health emergency in the United States. CDCs response goals are to reduce transmission and illness severity, and provide information to help health care providers, public health officials and the public address the challenges posed by this emergency. CDC is issuing and updating interim guidance daily in response to the rapidly evolving situation. CDCs Division of the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) continues to send antiviral drugs, personal protective equipment, and respiratory protection devices to all 50 states and U.S. territories to help them respond to the outbreak. The swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is susceptible to the prescription antiviral drugs oseltamivir and zanamivir. In addition, the Federal Government and manufacturers have begun the process of developing a vaccine against this new virus.

MALCOLM X: How Gene Roberts of the NYPD Infiltrated Malcolm X’s Organization

Gene Roberts, one of Malcolm’s chiefs of security, was an NYPD undercover cop. Roberts was an agent with NYPDs Bureau of Special Services (BOSS), a super-secret political intelligence unit nicknamed the Red Squad. Roberts was on the scene as Malcolm was assassinated and supposedly tried to resuscitate him after hed been shot. Roberts later went on to infiltrate and disrupt the Black Panther Party.

Two of the three men convicted of killing Malcolm X, Norman Butler and Robert 15X Johnson, were almost certainly NOT at the scene of the crime. The evidence points to a confluence of three groups involved in Malcolm Xs assassination: institutional forces (NYPD, FBI, CIA, etc.), The Nation of Islam, and elements within Malcolms own circle after his split with NOI. There is definitely overlap between these groups, as evidence suggests that elements of one group could have been working as agents of another.

Within days of the assassination, questions were raised about who bore ultimate responsibility. On February 23, James Farmer, the leader of the Congress of Racial Equality, announced at a news conference that local drug dealers, and not the Black Muslims, were to blame. Others accused the New York Police Department, the FBI, or the CIA, citing the lack of police protection and the ease with which the assassins had entered the Audubon Ballroom.

In the 1970s, the public learned about COINTELPRO and other secret FBI programs directed towards infiltrating and disrupting civil rights organizations during the 1950s and 1960s. John Ali, national secretary of the Nation of Islam, was identified as an FBI undercover agent. Malcolm X had confided in a reporter that Ali had exacerbated tensions between him and Elijah Muhammad. He considered Ali his “archenemy” within the Nation of Islam leadership. On February 20, 1965, the night before the assassination, Ali met with Talmadge Hayer, one of the men convicted of killing Malcolm X.
